Return of the Maiden

We arrive at the cusp of spring
The Goddess beckons,
Calling forth the green freshness
the bright colors of new-born growth
The sun shines more brightly
higher on the horizon
warming the lengthening days
The birds emerge from their winter hiding
sending greetings to the Maiden
as she returns from the Underworld
Refreshed and renewed, a playful Youth

We greet the Spring
The Soul awakens from its slumber
praising the newness of creation
Stretching out the dreams of winter
Rising to the thaw of the spring sun
Dancing to the light of the clear full moon
Singing to the lambs and blooming hills
Praising the return of the Goddess
